Hello friendly friends! I am so pleased to introduce you all to Kathryn. We had the opportunity to connect with her through our website and crossed paths in Salt Lake City some time ago. She is a non-hodgkins lymphoma survivor, a mother of two, and an incredibly devoted family member and friend. I had such a wonderful time getting to know her. Watch her video above and scroll down to hear about our experience together.
We got to have the interview on this amazing property with beautiful walkways and trees and gardens. Kathryn and I walked around the whole thing and chatted about life and cancer and our mutual coveting of the area.
I love when Zach is able to capture these candid moments. We had so much fun getting to know Kathryn. What our videos and my posts don’t always capture is how goofy I am. Most of the time that isn’t spent talking about the realness and struggles that we encounter in remission is spent giggling and being silly.
One powerful quality I took away from Kathryn is her authenticity. She talks about her experience with compete frankness and honesty, but also gentleness and grace. You can feel the sincerity of her spirit from the moment you meet her. Cancer is such massive trial but I believe it plays a huge role in the humility and light I have seen in cancer survivor I have ever met. Kathryn is no exception.
One of the most beautiful moments of this day was listening to Kathryn talk about her mother, who is also a cancer survivor. Many of us don’t have people in our lives that truly understand what it is like going through cancer. While I would never wish it on anyone, there is something special about connecting through trying mutual experiences. Kathryn and her mother have such a tender and special relationship.
Anywho, thank you all for taking the time to hear from Kathryn and me. I am learning so much from all of the wonderful people I have encountered through Sofia Holub Wellness. I hope you all feel inspired by Kathryn’s spirit and wisdom! I know I do.
